You need to understand the context of these shots in order to appreciate just how great they are. For example, yes people have got holes in one before, but his famous hole in one just happens to be at the loudest hole in golf [by a long way.]

sure shots like that have been performed before, but most of them not quite to the magnitude of Tiger's. Most of Tiger's signiture shots come during ridiculous situations, usually needing the shot that happens to happen to win or tie whatever tournament he is in. Like the masters chip, he won that tourney in a playoff, so without that one chip in, it wouldn't have gone to a playoff.
