I absolutely love this song. It was one of my favorites growing up and I still have the 45. I used to play it over and over on the stereo. Still a pretty cute guy as well, LOL.

Google "The Wrecking Crew" for one of the best such studio bands of that era. There was a good article about them in American Heritage a few years ago.
