its the EQ on his amp. He used Acoustic Amps. theyre my favorite combo's. you can get a lot of tones out of them.

Wow a LOT of people like to argue of who is the best...I agree with the guy that said we are ALL bass players, from Dee Dee Ramone to Billy Sheehan we all play our own way and we should work together instead of break each other down! God Bless

Is he usuing a big muff overdrive or what at the end ya know?
nystan1 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
check out what other musicians say about this....ask Victor Wooten who wrote the book....ask Billy Sheehan...these guys understand the line....it is so annoying to see all these stupid posts...why can't these guys just sit back and listen to some great music...funny. Don't you guys understand that there is no argument in the world of music? LISTEN!

First of all Billy Sheehan is and has allways been the greatest bassist. He has the ability to play any lead or rhythem any bassist can lay down, but there are things Billy Sheehan can play that no bassist will ever be able to play. And second of all if there was never a Jaco it doesnt mean that Burton wouldnt of done what he was made to do. If you remember correctly Burtons main influence was Geezer aarong you need to check up on your bass history dumba**

This only poses as a good argument simply because Jaco never lived to reach his highest point. If there was no Jaco influence Victor would not have the same playing style today.

I think it`s really simple; and no one pointed that out: when i say i like mingus and jaco, i don`t have their virtuosity in mind, but rather their ability to arrange, compose- compositions! And that goes for all musicians i love..

if it was not for jaco there would be no cliff burton. and hesa good, but not that good. learn your bas history cause you know the best bass player of all time is a battle between mingus and wooten
