bertmarx is funny.. most likley u know shit about hip-hop..ha that being said this video was very significant in the late 80's (88 i believe) in the beginning of the video hammers holdin court talkin bout ''hammers hittin in chicago,miami,atlanta'' what hammers referring to is his original mix of this track...then dude comes out from the phonebooth and says ''hammer aint hittin in new york''...hammer throws james browns ''funky drummer'' on the remix and killed it...hammer WAS hittin in NY

Hammer got put down by not all but some rappers & people as his career grew later on.Accused of going pop,selling out.Just because he danced.He was just growing as an artist.Now rappers are selling out,it sounds so commercial its an insult to people like me who grew up with hip-hop.Like it or not hammer helped by giving fans an alternative

i dont know why rappers got on hammer, he sold alot of records, made money, and he actually had songs that had meaning. the same rappers who got on hammer are now doing commercials and movies. funny how things turn out. to all the fans who want to call hammer weak, they know damn well they used to jam his songs and even bought bk's all cause of hammer. hammer was a true performer and the real deal.
