Hey.
How long? I guess that depends on how well a person understands music. Since I do (I have my own keyboard, and have taken music/instrumental courses in the past), it was fairly for me.
Practice is a big help, too. :-)
Also, I do learn songs mostly by ear.

just wondering how long do you use this software to get to this level or it's mostly matter of "musical hear" ?
Zir0x01 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
Hey.
Thanks for the compliment, Gos2. :-)
No, I'm not learning it. Why do you ask?
Gos2 (November 30, 1999 at 12:00 am)
very good composing are you learning this or something?

Hey.
I don't know of any "SPC making tools", and I have never heard of xmsnes.
My track here was not intended to be an original translation, as I improvised much, especially on the baseline.
"puzzle-your-own-DOS-crap-together" lol :-)
Thanks for the comments.

Salut! =)
Yeah I am searching for a suitable and easy-interface program to compose my own SPC tracks, but i wasn't so lucky... I am able to produce my own NES, Genesis, GB and any other music, even up to 64 bit range, but the only thing I found was "xmsnes", which contains some funky samples though. But I don't know how to deal with it, it's all kinda "puzzle-your-own-DOS-crap-together" and I dun like that. =(
Your X-men track is almost excellently transferred to the original, great! =))

Hey.
Soleilfreak - Nice to meet you, soldier. :-|
Actually, ModPlug Tracker does NOT convert SPC files.
I actually composed all the notes of the entire song myself from scratch.
The tracker does allow you to edit instruments and samples.
The program itself has nothing to do with SPC's or emulation, for that matter.
However, there is a 3rd-party hobbyist program (out there somewhere) that can convert SPCs to Impulse Tracker files. It is called "OpenSPC".

Well, THIS hits the spark!! =)
I've been looking for such a program, obviously converting .SPC tunes from the SNES into a 1:1 noteworthy interface! =)
So apparently, ModPlug Tracker may also let the user arrange/edit instruments, effects etc?
I hope so... :P |
