It's pretty obvious your selections are dictated by how popular (or how unpopular, I should say) the group is. Need I remind you of the VU's direct affiliation with Andy Warhol, one of the most mass-marketed and overproduced (and coincidentally, overhyped) artists of the 20th century? Just because a group is wildly popular doesn't mean their music is inferior to indie stuff.
