The way Lee Oskar explained it to me was that the whole idea in the photo shoot was that all the people who were fed up with their earthly problems were going to "the Galaxy", a place that was "outta sight", to get away from all the bullshit on Earth. It just so happened that a Klansman was among them. The Klansman is sort of a running joke with War. You'll notice a Klansman on the rear album cover picture from "Why Can't We Be Friends?" as well as in the video for that song, too.

This song proves that GOOD music stands the test of time. I wasn't born when it came out, but I get my party on to it now. GREAT dance song! Guess that's why Puffy sampled a piece of it.

Hit and miss Hey! Salsa, Sal Rodriguez, we lost touch going on 30 or so years back then I was one of the only Mobile DJ's in SGV. We met again LA Street with Tower of Power you flagged me down in a crowd of 3,000 and you were playing the drums during a set and you signaled me to meet back stage. You were playing ICE HOUSE. We saw Tierra that night. I've seen in Concert with War, but couldn't meet with you that day either. I am glad to see that you made it with a famous group WAR. DJ Gila, IE

Benidorm 78, Istanbul/Tramps discos. I worked as a doorman at Tramps, I listened to this 3 times a night and never got sick of it. This must be a sign of a good tune.

I saw War perform in ATL at King's Memorial site in the early 90's. They gave a free concert and it was great! They play classics that a lot of people still listen to today and the new generations are discovering.
