One more questions? If you are really receiving an encrypted signal, how did you get the keys for this particular agancy. Just want to make sure your demo is valid.

This is great. A couple of questions:
Do you have to cut into the back of the radio casing in order to put the module in? Does this void the warranty of the radio.
Does the radio transmit in analog or digital after the modification? Wouldn't the additional conversion have an affect on the range and audio quality. What's the effective range after the modification. The audio quality is good in the video, but what's it like when you are not right next to the tx.

no, tetra is a proprietary digital format with encryption. Even if you had a enabled tetra radio and the encryption module you would still need the encryption key. Old 56- bit DES encryption had 72 quadrillion possible keys and for every 1-bit increase in the key the amount of possible keys doubles.
