I have to ask, what factor did the pickups (duncan's right?) over the emg's have on the sustain? Haven't personally played with a Khaler, but doesn't guitar weight/mass have an effect on the sustain as well? I will say personally I've owned 1 guitar w/ a FR/Duncan combo and the sustain was wonderful. I have been into Schecter lately, and my first while modest purchase I've enjoyed has EMGHZ. a friend got one with a similar feel in the neck but Seymour Duncans and he beats me on sustain(no trems)

Go to ESP website and you'll see Jeff Hanneman's signature has a Kahler on it. Go to BC Rich's website. Yeah, KK may use Floyd Rose locking nuts, but he still uses Kahler's.
